Symbol is a sign of representation of
something, unlike icon which literally present
something as it is, symbol is when you
presenting the idea of what it is.

Symbolists believed that art should represent absolute truths that could only be described
indirectly. Thus, they wrote in a very metaphorical and suggestive manner, endowing particular
images or objects with symbolic meaning. Jean Moras published the Symbolist Manifesto ("Le
Symbolisme") in Le Figaro on 18 September 1886. The Symbolist Manifesto names Charles
Baudelaire, Stephane Mallarme, and Paul Verlaine as the three leading poets of the movement.
Moras announced that symbolism was hostile to "plain meanings, declamations, false
sentimentality and matter-of-fact description", and that its goal instead was to "clothe the Ideal
in a perceptible form" whose "goal was not in itself, but whose sole purpose was to express the
Ideal.
In a nutshell, as Mallarm writes in a letter to his friend Cazalis, 'to depict not the thing but the

Origin Of Religion

The origin of religion would have to be a reaction of the ancient people

trying to explain to themselves the things which they didnt understand
or out of their control at the time. When we dont exactly know what is
happening we most likely to assume things, thinking theres must be a
purpose, creating a story and a reason, but when words got around,
sometimes it could come off slightly different and could be received
differently by different people or group which eventually will create
different understanding.

Its like when were playing whispering game, we will have the people
in line, then the first person will whisper a sentence to second, who
will whisper it to the next person, and when we heard the last person,
say what he heard out loud most of the time they dont say exactly the
same as what the first person whispered.

Ancient Foundations
The origin of religion can generally be traced to the ancient Near East and
classified in three basic categories: polytheistic, pantheistic and
monotheistic. Atheism is really a modern belief that resulted from the
"Enlightenment" period of the 18th century.

Browning Arms Company (known as Browning) is a
major US manufacturer of fishing tools and firearms.
The initial goal was marketing John Brownings non-
military (sporting) inventions.
The Browning logo has been around since 1977, and
it was designed by Don Bailey, the companys art
director. The image depicts a mule deers head in a
uniformly abstract way to emphasize the companys
contribution to the hunting industry. Today, the logo is
referred to as the Buckmark until now.

CORPORATE
Actavis plc is a global, integrated specialized
pharmaceutical company. It is popular in the world
because its qualitative products and it also has a
known logo which helps recognize its production. It
looks like a white underground in which you can see
a blue and green horizontal spiral and the green word
Actavis under it.

To understand the Ubuntu logo, it is essential to know what the name

itself means. The Linux operating system received its name after the
ethic or humanist philosophy of Ubuntu, which has its roots in South
Africa.
The word itself is translated as humanness, while the core value of
the philosophy is humanity to others. The logotype is a stylized
representation of three people holding hands, creating a circle.

there was a motto, which can be translated into English

as I will maintain. The use of the countrys coat of
arms was quite reasonable taking into consideration
that the company was owned by the government.

The Converse logo was designed by Converse with

the goal of popularization. Charles Chuck Taylor,
a basketball player (Akron Firestones), did a lot to
redesign shoes and finally endorsed the brand.
Also, he demonstrated effective salesmanship. He
designed the blue star logo and signed it. Thanks
to the brand, Converse shoes are still referred to
informally as chucks. The logo still appears on
the companys products. The star was to signify
the brands outstanding excellence.

NON PROFIT ORGANISATION
The FIFA logo is the FIFA wordmark written in huge
bold capital letters topped with two hemispheres
to symbolize the organizations round-the-world
presence. The hemispheres depict the continents
and feature a white pentagonal soccer ball pattern.
The continents are colored in gold yellow, and the
oceans in blue, to symbolize optimism, drive,
passion, grace, and excellence. The FIFA logo is
among the most recognizable ones in the world.
