PROJECT OBJECTIVES

To identify the association between the atmospheric concentration of

Pyricularia oryzae spore at various crop stages and incidence of panicle
blast infection in the adjacent rice fields of susceptible varieties

To determine relationship between field temperature and relative humidity

and incidence of panicle blast in the fields

To possibly utilize the above parameters to develop a forecasting model in

the development of panicle blast early warning system
