RTU FILES IN
RTU 560
STEP 1 Generation of Log files
Open the Project file which was created
through Excel import procedure.
Go to Project Build RTU Files
Then follow the procedure as per other
slides.
Go to Project Click on Build RTU Files..
Select the Name of .iod files and click on Next.
Click on Plausibility for checking consistency of Project.
Click on Yes
Error or Warning message will be shown here if any. Click on Generate File to
create iod, gcd and ptx log files which required to be downloaded in RTU560.
Click on OK
Generated log files can be viewed in rtufile folder of RTU till NT folder
STEP 2 Downloading Log files
Connect Laptop to RTU 560 and open
web page by assigning default IP
10.0.10.50
Go to Other Configuration and Enter
Username Load and Password Load
Download iod, gcd and ptx files one by
one and then reset the RTU by clicking on
reset button.

After connecting Laptop to RTU type default IP 10.0.10.50 for opening web
page. Go to Others and Click on Configuration (HTML).
Above screen will appear.
Type User name : Load
and Password : Load
And Click on OK.
Screen will appear by which log files ( .iod, .gcd and .ptx ) will be downloaded in
RTU.
Browse .iod files from rtufile folder.
Click on Load RTU to download iod file.
Similarly browse .gcd file and Click on Load
RTU
Finally select .ptx file and Click on Load RTU
Click on Reset to reset the RTU after downloading all log files.
 STEP 3 Verifying RTU Data
After downloading the log files connect
Laptop to RTU by same default IP
10.0.10.50.
Click on Hardware Tree and give
Username : Control or Show
Password : Control or Show
to observe the data and verify with the
field.
