 He was born in Santiago, in 1790; Son of
Manuel Ruiz Tagle Torquemada and Mara
del Rosario Larran Portales.
He married with his cousin Rosario
Larran Rojas and had nine children.
It intervened in the first agitations of the
Francisco Ruiz-Tagle independence of Chile; Patriot
sympathizer; After Maip, he became a
patriot.
Member of the Governing Board of the
Kingdom, 2 of May of 1811, like the
deputy by Los Andes.
He joined the Superior Court of
Government, May 10, 1811, being deputy
for Los Andes.
He was elected senator proprietor, in the
Senate of 1812, November 10, 1812-
January 1814.
He was regidor and ordinary mayor of
Santiago in 1814.
 He was appointed Minister of Finance on
July 28, 1828.
Participated and signed the Political
Francisco Ruiz-Tagle Constitution of the Republic of Chile of
1828.
It integrated the Board of Government, 7 of
November of 1829. The Congress of
Plenipotentiaries elected him President of
the Republic from February 18 to March
31, 1830.
In such a short time he did not perform any
work, he only maintained the order of the
country.
He passed calm and opulent the last years
of his life and passed away in Lo Matta
Chacra, Las Condes, 23 of March in 1860.
