INTRODUCTION

Cloud computing is a style of computing which

comes into focus only when you think a way to
increase capacity or add capabilities on the fly
without investing in new infrastructure (hardware
or software).

Cloud computing encompasses any

subscription-based or pay-per-use service that, in
real time over the Internet.

Virtualised resources are provided as a service

over the Internet.
ARCHITECTURE

In a cloud computing system, there's a significant

workload shift. Local computers no longer have to do
all the heavy lifting when it comes to running
applications.

The concept of cloud computing incorporates

infrastructure as a service (IaaS), platform as a
service (PaaS) and software as a service (SaaS) as
well as Web 2.0 and other recent technology trends.
ARCHITECTURE
Cloud architecture, or the software systems involved in
the delivery of cloud computing, comprises hardware and
software designed by a cloud architect who typically
works for a cloud integrator. It involves multiple cloud
components i.e virtual systems, servers communicating
with each other over application programming interfaces,
usually web services.

The only thing the user's computer needs to be able to

run is the cloud computing system's interface software,
which can be as simple as a Web browser, and the
cloud's network takes care of the rest.
ADVANTAGES:
Clients would be able to access their
applications and data from anywhere at any
time from the cloud computing system using
any computer linked to the Internet.

Cloud computing systems would reduce the

need for advanced hardware on the client side.

You wouldn't need to buy the fastest computer

with the most memory, because the cloud
system would take care of those needs for you.
Instead, you could buy an inexpensive computer
terminal to run the middleware necessary to
connect to the cloud system.
ADVANTAGES
Cloud computing gives the companies the option
of storing data on someone else's hardware,
removing the need for physical space on the front
end.
CLOUD COMPUTING CONCERNS
The biggest concerns about cloud computing are
security and privacy. The idea of handing over
important data to another company worries some
people about security.

Privacy is another matter. If a client can log in

from any location to access data and applications,
it's possible the client's privacy could be
compromised. Cloud computing companies will
need to find ways to protect client privacy.
APPLICATIONS
Cloud computing serves as backend for many web
services.

It gives scalability advantages such as if a web

app running on a cloud suddenly starts to
experience a huge work load , more resources can
be provisioned to the app.

For example, Recently using Amazon.com's

EC2(elastic compute cloud) computing platform,
the NewYork Times ran a PDF conversion app that
converted that 4TB of TIFF data into 1.5TB of PDF
files. Using 100 Linux computers, the job took
about 24 hours.
FUTURE OF CLOUD
COMPUTING
Cloud computing is going to brighten
future of data centers.

We won’t need all our data on our own

computers, as they’ll be floating around
somewhere on somebody else’s servers,
accessible via the internet.

It will increase the savings of future

companies, hence increasing the profits.
SERVICES
A cloud service includes products, services
and solutions that are delivered and
consumed in real-time over the Internet.
Specific examples include:

Integration (Amazon Simple Queue

Service)
Payments ( PayPal)
Mapping (Google Maps)
Search ( Google Custom Search)
