    Under Tsar Ivan IV (the teribble), Russia for the first time
    had multiplied her territory, and laid the foundations of
    Russia;
    In 1613, the accession of Mikhail Romanov, und under his
    rule, Russia played political games with her regional rivals
    Poland, Lithuania, Ukraina, and Sweden;
    During Romanovs rule (1721-1917), Russia enlarged her
    territories to Central Asia, Pacific, Caspian Sea, Baltic,
    Finland, and Eastern Europe by crushing Poland
