S This class is offered completely online.

S Most of our activity will take place on the


TRACS site for this class.

rules

S Youll see that there are weekly deadlines for


participation on the TRACS forum, regular
Reading Quizzes and for commenting on
Speak Freely: A Media Law Blog

S There will be two Case Brief assignments

S There will be a midterm exam and final exam


Course Schedule

S The Course Schedule has a general


description of the weekly assignments

S It also has a week-by-week description of


what is due and when it is due

S For this week, there are three assignments: the


TRACS Forum, TRACS Assessments and the
Speak Freely

S You should also go to the Forums tab on the


TRACS site and see my introduction in the
Introductions thread.

S After that, start a new conversation in the


Introductions thread to introduce yourself.
Please also include a photo.

S The deadline to post your introduction in the


Forum is 11:55 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 2.

S In addition, you are expected to respond to at


least two introductions by your classmates
S Consider sharing your reaction to the hobbies
and passions of you classmates, or connecting
with classmates that have similar interests or
are from the same hometown
S Also, please share a recent photo (consider
sharing one that expresses your personality)
S The deadline for at least two responses is
11:55 p.m. Monday, Sept. 4

Reading Quiz 1

S You have until 11:55 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 3, to


take the quiz

S You can find the quiz in Assessments on


TRACS

S So, for this first week, here are the graded


assignments
S 1) Post an introduction in TRACS Forums;
deadline is 11:55 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 2)
S 2) Reading Quiz 1 (you may take it as often as
you like, but deadline is 11:55 p.m. Sunday,
Sept. 3)
S 23) Respond to at least two of your classmates
in TRACS Forums (deadline is 11:55 p.m.
Monday, Sept. 4)
