DIAMANTE POEMS

The fanciest 7 lined poem of them all ooh la la!

Line 1 Write a noun that is the opposite of the noun in the last line. night
Line 2 Write two adjectives about the word in line 1. dark spooky
Line 3 Write three ing or ed words describing the word in line 1 (verbs) flying hovering shimmering
Line 4 Begins with two nouns that have to do with the word in line 1. shadows fears light safety
This line ends with two nouns that have to do with the word in line 7.
bright sunny
Line 5 Write three ing or ed words that relate to the words in line 7.
day
Line 6 Write two adjectives about the word in line 7.
Line 7 Write the noun that is opposite of line 1.

Use page 18 to write the drafts of your poem/s.
Have your draft checked with either myself or Mrs Rickwood.
Choose a colour and collect a 3D Diamante poem activity sheet.
Before you cut you must write your poem on the centre of your Diamante with your name
(the hexagon shape). Ensure your poem remains in the shape of a Diamante poem.
Follow the instructions on how to make your 3D Diamante on the sheet.
Once you have cut, bring your Diamante to me to create a hole which will allow you to
place your string and hang your Diamante up!
Glue it nicely together and enjoy your poem come to life!
