The teacher facilitates students to student
interaction; teachers major responsibility is to
establish situations likely to promote communication.
The teacher acts as a facilitator in setting up
communicative activities and as an advisor during the
activities. He answers students questions and
monitoring their performance.

He might make notes of students errors to be


worked on at a later time during more accuracy-based
activities.
He might be a co-communicator engaging in the
communicative activity along with students.

Method/Approach
The teacher as:

Teacher is responsible for providing students with a


good model for imitation.
The teacher should be like an orchestra leader-
conducting, guiding, and controlling students
behavior in the target language.
The teacher initiates interaction and takes part in it.
The teacher corrects students mistakes.

Method
The Grammat Translation Method

The teacher is the authority. The students do what


the teacher says.
He/She mainly teaches the students:
reading and writing,
how to translate from one language to another.
Gives grammar rules and examples
Correct mistakes
