Brijee is a highland settlement, part of Municipality of Novi Grad,
placed on north-west from major Sarajevos landmarks and downtown about 15-20 min. far away by driving. Brijee has between 1200-1300 households or about 6000 inhabitants. There is an elementary school Behaudin Selmanovi built in 1945. and today its counting around 500 students. Brijee as an ambience of compostion of two nationalities Bonjaks and Croats is place where two mosques and one catholic church of Leopold Mandi are existing. Hidrogradnja Brijee workshops, before the Agression on B&H from 1992-95, were probably the largest and the best equipped workshop for heavy construction equipment in Balkans.
