Once there lived a frog on the grassy
and wet river bank. He was easy
going and loved the lazy days.
Spending most of his life watching
the world go by, he really enjoyed his
life on the river bank. His green,
slimy skin was an ideal camouflage.
One day, as he was sitting in the
glorious sunshine, the frog saw a
scorpion sitting, crying on his side
of the bank.

Being such a nice animal, the frog

decided to go and see what was
wrong with Scorpion.
I need to get to the other side of the

river, sniffed the scorpion. I cannot

swim and the food I need is on the other

side!

Well, started the frog, I could give you

a lift over but only if you promise not to

sting me, Scorpion.

The scorpion thought for a moment and

assured the frog that he would not sting

him. After all, if he did so, the frog would

drown and they would both die.

The frog hopped into the water and the

Scorpion clambered fast and carefully

onto his back.

Yet,he hesitated.The scorpion
looked scary with its eight legs,
all tiny hairs from within sticking
out.

The scorpion also kept its venom

in its stinger. It made the scorpion
dangerous.
As they got towards the halfway
point of the journey, the frog was
starting to feel uncomfortable.

He turned around as the Scorpion

was raising his tail. He stung the
frog! He broke his promise!
But Scorpion! Frog
cried out before dying.

Now you will die as well,

why did you sting me?
Sorry, replied Scorpion, Its just how I

am, its in my nature.

A penny for your thoughts

What lesson can you learn from here?

Do not be deceived easily.

People act like their nature.
