ELECTRICAL INSTALLATION SYSTEM

IN THE BUILDING

GROUP NO. 2
APPLY THE SAFETY PROCEDURES, RULES
AND REGULATION FOR INSTALLATION
SYSTEM
Procedures and regulation

Kesihatan dan keselamatan di tempat kerja

mengikut akta 1974.
Elekterik pada tahun 1989 di buat di bawah
akta berhak mengambil langkah-langkah
berjaga-jaga .
Rules

Menggunakan perkerja yang berpengalaman

dalam bidang elektrik.
Menggunakan peralatan dan kelengkapan
yang sesuai ketika pemasangan.
Mematuhi peraturan.
ADAPT THE SAFETY PROCEDURES
BASED ON IEE STANDARD
IEE standard

perlu selaras dengan peraturan 12 (1) dan (2)

peraturan electrik 1994 menyatakan bahawa
setiap pendawaian dalam pemasangan
mestilah selia dengan sekatan fasa single
atau tiga fasa sekatan . Pendawai harus di sah
kan oleh penyelia.
Selaras dengan peraturan 13 (1) dan (2)
peraturan-peraturan elektrik 1994
menyatakan bahawa pendawaian
pemasangan hendaklah diuji dan sekatan
oleh phase single wiremen dengan
menggunakan fasa 3.
Selaras dengan peraturan 14 (1) peraturan
elektrik 1994 menyatakan sijil penyeliaan dan
sijil penyelesaian dan ujian dalam peratuaran
12 dan 13 masing-masing dalam borang G
dan H dinyatakan dalam jadual pertama.

ELECTRICAL INSTALLATION SYSTEM
Solar Electric or PV modules convert sunlight to electricity. The
PV modules generate DC electricity - or direct current - sending
it to the inverter.
The inverter transforms the DC power into AC electricity for
ordinary household needs.
Existing electrical panel distributes solar electricity and utility
power to loads (appliances). For systems with a battery backup
(optional), the inverter also regulates the charge of batteries.
The electricity stored in the batteries can be used at night or
during blackouts.
A valuable feature of photovoltaic systems is the ability to
connect with the existing power grid which allows owners
to sell excessive electricity back to the utility with a plan
known as Net Metering.
At times when you are not using all of the electricity
produced by your system, your meter will spin backwards
selling the electricity back to the utility power grid at retail
rate.
Photovoltaic

The term which covers the conversion of light into electricity

using semiconducting materials that exhibit :-
the photovoltaic effect
a phenomenon studied in physics
Photochemistry
electrochemistry.
A typical photovoltaic system employs solar panels, each
comprising a number of solar cells, which generate electrical
power.
PV installations may be at :-
ground-mounted
rooftop mounted
wall mounted
The specific advantages solar PV as an energy source:
its operation generates no pollution
no greenhouse gas emissions once installed,
PV systems have the major disadvantage that the power
output is dependent on direct sunlight, so about 10-25% is lost
if a tracking system is not used, since the cell will not be
directly facing the sun at all times.
Wind power plant

Wind power is the conversion of wind energy into a useful form of

energy, such as using :-
wind turbines to make electrical power,
windmills for mechanical power,
wind pumps for water pumping or drainage,
sails to propel ships.
Large wind farms consist of hundreds of individual wind turbines
which are connected to the electric power transmission network.
Offshore wind is steadier and stronger than on land, and offshore
farms have less visual impact, but construction and maintenance
costs are considerably higher. Small onshore wind farms provide
electricity to isolated locations.
Utility companies increasingly buy surplus electricity
produced by small domestic wind turbines.
Wind power, as an alternative to fossil fuels,is
plentiful, renewable, widely distributed, clean,
produces no greenhouse gas emissions during
operation and uses little land. The effects on the
environment are generally less problematic than
those from other power sources.
Wind power is very consistent from year to year but
has significant variation over shorter time scales.
