SUMMER

PROJECT
REPORT
ABOUT
Summer Internship projects are tasks that add to the knowledge
of the students.
A topic shall be given to each student in the beginning of the
semester in various areas of management.
Each student will be attached with one internal project guide, with
whom they shall be in continuous touch during the project work.
OBJECTIVE

The student will have the opportunity to explore the


current management literature so as to develop an
individual style and sharpen his/her skills in the area of
leadership communication, decision making,
motivation and conflict management.

REPORT
Prescribed Cover Page
The cover page must be hard bound in Black Color with
Gold Embossing.
The students Enrollment No., Class & Batch No. must be
written on the rim of the project report.
The size of the report would depend on the project
undertaken by the student. However it must between 40 to
60 typed pages (1.5 space) on A4 size paper.
All the students are required to use the uniform font and
format i.e. Times New Roman of font size 12 in the text
(except in heading and subheadings) through out the text of
the report.

Instructions for typing / printing

The project report should be strictly prepared


according to the following guidelines.
Finalization of the Project Report : Student should
obtain clearance from their respective guide
before finally printing the final project report.
Paper : The size of the Paper sheet: A4. Typing
should be done on one side of the paper only.
Font : Type: New Times Roman, Size: 12

Line Spacing : Body of the text: 1.5 lines
List of tables/ graphs/charts/bibliography: Single line
Alignment Title page: Centre, Chapter heading: Centre
, Sub heading: Left , Body of text: Justify
Margins : At the binding edge (Left): not less than 3 cm
& Other margins (Right, Top, Bottom): not less than 2
cm.
Titles All titles and subtitles should be printed in
BOLD.
All the Tables/ Graphs /Charts should have appropriate
titles.

The project should be hard bound

Number of Copies to be prepared: 01 Hard copy on
Bond paper is compulsory. Each student is also
required to make a copy of project in CD and
submit along with his/her project report.
Before submission: Students must sign
Declaration and Acknowledgment before putting
for the Signature of the Guide.

Executive Summary-(2 to 3 pages) This should include a
brief summary of the entire project with emphasis on
objectives, research methodology, findings and
conclusions. It should also highlight the original
contribution made by the candidate.

If the student uses any tables, graphs, figures, text or
any other materials from other sources, make sure to
provide full citations of the source.
All tables and graphs, figures must be numbered and
should be referred to as such in the main body of the
text.
GUIDELINES FOR
PRESENTATION
There are some general rules of presentation which
should be adopted by the students while presenting
their presentations. The guidelines and sequence are
as follows:
The first slide should contain the topic, name of
student and his/her enrollment number.
Brief introduction of Industry, Company and topic.
The objectives of the study.

WORTH OF A
PROJECT:MARKING
SCHEME

The Summer Project shall carry 100 marks i.e., marks equivalent
to one course.
It shall be evaluated jointly by the Internal Supervisor and the
External Examiner.
The Internal Supervisor shall award marks out of 50and the
External Examiner shall award marks out of 50. The External
Examiner shall be appointed by the University.

The students are required to work under the
active guidance of their respective mentors
and they should meet the mentor at least once
in a week to discuss the progress.
There should not be any deviation from the
schedule for report submission and format of
the project as discussed.
