 PRESENTATION
The Shawshank Redemption is a 1994
American drama film written and directed
by Frank Darabont, and starring Tim
Robbins and Morgan Freeman. Adapted from
the Stephen King novella Rita Hayworth and
Shawshank Redemption, the film tells the story
of Andy Dufresne, a banker who is sentenced
to life in Shawshank State Penitentiary for the
murder of his wife and her lover, despite his
claims of innocence. During his time at the
prison, he befriends a fellow inmate, Ellis
Boyd "Red" Redding, and finds himself
protected by the guards after the warden
begins using him in his money-laundering
operation.
ACTORS

The principal actor in this film is Tim Robbins and he is playing the role of the Andy
|Dufresne a banker who is sentenced to life in Shawshank State Penitentiary for the
murder of his wife and her lover, despite his claims of innocence.
In this film Morgan Freeman is one of the best friends of Andy Dufresne and also he
is playing the role of Red. Other actors are: Clancy Brown, Gil Bellows and William
Sadler.
SHORT STORY
In 1947 Andy Dufrense, a banker, was arrested unjustly because the judges belived
he murdered his wife. He was arrested in the Shawshank State Penitentiary and he
became frends with Red, a black man, and with other prisoners.
By the time, he became very apriciated because he was a very smart man in the
prison and he suddenly transformed into the right hand of the director.
After a while, he started to wash the money of the prison and cover some illegal
business in favor of the director. He worken on a very complicated plan of escaping
and when he found the perfect moment, he runned.
