    GROW UP AS AN ONLY CHILD.

    HE AND HIS PARENTS MOVED TO


    MEMPHIS, TENNESSEE, IN 1948,
    AND ELVIS GRADUATED FROM HUMES
    HIGH SCHOOL THERE IN 1953.
    Elvis grows up in a close-knit,
    working class family, consisting of
    his parents, grandparents, aunts,
    uncles, and cousins, who all live
    close by in Tupelo. Although there
    is little money, Vernon and Gladys
    do their best to provide for their
    son. They attend the Assembly of
    God Church while in Tupelo where
    Elvis loves singing gospel.

    Elvis combined different types of music
    to form a style called rockabilly, which
    became one of the key sounds in rock n
    roll.

    To form this musical style, he fused the


    country-western music of the South with
    the rhythm and blues.

    Elvis Presley's filmography consists of 33 feature films-thirty-one musical and two
    concert documentaries.
    His feature debut was in Love Me Tender for 20th Century Fox.
    Loving You, Jailhouse Rock and King Creole were dramatic storylines written around
    Presley in the role of a musical entertainer.
    He has a reference on the movie Lilo and Stitch, a characterization and soundtrack.
    How Did Elvis Presley Die?
    Elvis Presley died on August 16, 1977, at the age of 42.
    He went to his bedroom around 7:00 pm to rest before an evening flight. He was later
    found in his bathroom and rushed to the hospital, where he was pronounced dead from
    cardiac arrhythmia.
    The cause of death was covered up by his family; but, it is suspected that it was from an
    overdose of prescription drugs that caused his heart to stop.
    It is suspected that he had taken a cocktail of prescription drugs.
