The “Master Key” for
Relationships
We love because he first loved us. 20If anyone
says, “I love God,” yet hates his brother, he is
a liar. For anyone who does not love his
brother, whom he has seen, cannot love God,
whom he has not seen. 21And he has given us
this command: Whoever loves God must also
love his brother.
1 John 4:19-21
Successful Relationships:
1. Forgiveness
When you were dead in your sins and in the
uncircumcision of your sinful nature, God
made you alive with Christ. He forgave us all
our sins…
Colossians 2:13
When we don’t forgive
1. It makes your soul sick

But if you do not forgive men their sins, your

Father will not forgive your sins.
Matthew 6:15

2. It makes your body sick

Successful Relationships:
1. Forgiveness
2. Grace
His General Grace
“From the fullness of His grace we have all
received one blessing after another.”
1 Corinthians 15:10

Don’t be deceived, my dear brothers. Every good

and perfect gift is from above, coming down from
the Father of the heavenly lights, who does not
change like shifting shadows.
James 1:16-17

Grace – joyful liberality; favour, benefit, pleasure

Do you know His grace?
• You continually think that God
disapproves you?
• You always think that God is mad at
you because of something that you did?
• You have a constant sense of
condemnation?
Forgiveness
To rub off the past
Grace
A new attitude of heart towards the
person

Forgiveness
I am no longer God’s enemy
Grace
He made me his close friend
Forgiveness
when God doesn’t give you what you
deserve

Grace
When God gives you what you don’t
deserve
21
“The son said to him, ‘Father, I have sinned
against heaven and against you. I am no longer
worthy to be called your son.£’
22
“But the father said to his servants, ‘Quick!
Bring the best robe and put it on him. Put a ring
on his finger and sandals on his feet. 23Bring the
fattened calf and kill it. Let’s have a feast and
celebrate. 24For this son of mine was dead and
is alive again; he was lost and is found.’ So they
began to celebrate.
Luke 15
Through His Grace:
• “Do” & “Done”
• Hidden in Christ
“…and your life is now hidden with Christ in
God”
Colossians 3:3
• No Punishment

There is nothing that you can do that
can make God love you more than he
does now.

And there is nothing that you can do

that can make God love you less that
he does now.
Successful Relationships:
1. Forgiveness
2. Grace
3. Transformation
God loves you just as you are.

God loves you too much to leave you

just as you are.
How are we transformed?
For the grace of God that brings salvation has
appeared to all men. It teaches us to say “No” to
ungodliness and worldly passions, and to live
self-controlled, upright and godly lives in this
present age.
Titus 2:11-12
