How did Jesus handle stress?

“You cannot avoid stressful

situations, but you don’t have to be
stressed by them.”

“This is my son, whom I love; with

him I am well pleased.”

all your mind.

2. Know who you are trying to please
3. Know what you are trying to accomplish
At daybreak Jesus went out to a solitary place. The
people were looking for him and when they came to
where he was, they tried to keep him from leaving them.
43
But he said, “I must preach the good news of the
kingdom of God to the other towns also, because that is
why I was sent.” 44And he kept on preaching in the
synagogues of Judea.
Luke 4:42
In prayer:
• Check if priorities and values are in the
right place
• Seek the direction God is giving to your life
• If your heart is in the right place, there is no
wrong direction

What Jesus did:
• 12 disciples
• Sent 70 - 2 by 2
• Knew what was his role and what was the
disciples’ – He did not go to the ends of the
earth to preach the Gospel
Why don’t we delegate?
• Perfectionism
• Selfishness - “I have done it, just me!”
