INTRODUCTION
Atresia Ani :
Imperforate anus is the failure of the anal membranes to breakdown..
Afected animal may live maximum up to
10 days
SYMPTOMS
Depression
Anorexia
Colic
Distension of Abdomen
Lack of Faeces
And of Course no anal opening
ANUS VAGINALIS
It occurs in females when a hole is formed and faeces Meconium
comes out from Vulva.

HISTORY
I month old Kid
Mix Breed
Previously Operated by some LAD or Non professional person ..
Adhered again .
Kid was anorexic
FIRST WASH WITH KMN4 SOLUTION .
THEN SCRUBED WITH PYODINE
ANESTHESIA
We just do ring block anesthesia around anal sphincterwith Lignocaine .
And do not go for general anesthesia .
PERFORMING RING ANESTHESIA
SURGICAL PROCEDURE
We remove skin fold in circular fashion
After that blunt disection is done with siezure unless we approach and
feel the anal content. So we make a opening in it .
SUTURES
Usually sutures are applied on dorsal, ventral, and lateral walls of anus.
The anal Mucosa is sutured with the skin
SUTURE COMPLETED
POST OPERATIVE CARE
Amoxyl Syrup 2 tea spoons bid . For 5 days
Wash with Pyodine 4 times daily
After washing apply Polyfix Plus 4 times daily
