million international arrivals in 2016 while Rome is the 8th and 16th resptectively, with 7.12 million
tourists.

Italy has given rise to a number of architectural styles, including classical Roman, Renaissance,
Baroque and Neoclassical.
They are also very well known for their architecturaly beautiful buildings like The Tower of Pisa,
Panthenon (Rome), Doges Palace (Venice), Basilica din San Marco (Venice), Cupola di San
Pietro (Vatican City), Sistine Chapel (Vatican City).
They were pioneers during the most culturally flourishing time known to man and they continue to
produce great cultural works that influence every country in the world even to this day.
