INTRODUCTION

Highspirits Limited is an international firm that is one of the most competitive


alcohol producers in the world. Highspirits Limited has expanded its product
line to include hip drinks for young, partying teens, and expensive,
“premium” liquors for sophisticated drinkers.

This variety of products is the result of a merge between several large liquor
companies. Though the company is held privately, it is the only alcohol
producer to own a tanker for oversea transport, just one indicator of how large
and successful the company is.
COMPANY PROFILE

Highspirits Limited is one of the largest spirits companies in the world. We produce,
market and distribute a variety of internationally recognized premium spirits.

Our portfolio includes more than 200 brands and labels of rum, vodka, whisky, gin,
vermouth and tequila products, among others, most of which are sold on a global
basis. 
FORMULATION OF VISION
Vision is a short, succinct, and inspiring statement of what the organization
intends to become and to achieve at some point in the future, often stated in
competitive terms.

Vision refers to the category of intentions that are broad, all-intrusive and
forward-thinking.

them.

MISSION STATEMENT FORMULATION
A Mission Statement is an organization's vision translated into written form. It makes
concrete the leader's view of the direction and purpose of the organization.

It is a vital element in any attempt to motivate employees and to give them a sense of
priorities.

A Mission Statement should be a short and concise statement of goals and priorities.

A Mission Statement defines the core purpose of the organization - why it exists.

The mission reflects employees' motivations for engaging in the company's work.

Effective missions are inspiring, long-term in nature, and easily understood and
communicated.
MISSION STATEMENT

Highspirits Mission is
to “distribute its expanding portfolio of international brands to trade clients and
consumers around the world”,
to “discourage abusive consumption of our brands and to urge consumers who
choose to drink to do so responsibly”.

As it is a major producer of distilled liquors, the goals of the company seem


logical: to expand the sales of the products internationally is the goal of most
mainstream companies, and to expand the product line successfully is to expand
the profit.

our company is sincere in its message to discourage drunkenness.

It spends time and money on programs to restrict itself and other liquor companies
in marketing to underage buyers and in combating dangerous drunken behaviors.

We constitute a large, global group based in India. We associate with world leaders in
order to adopt technologies and processes that will enable a leadership position in a large
spectrum of activities.

GOAL
is to grow the businesses to a value of US$25m. While the liquor business will start
in the Indian market, export markets (Asia, Europe and the Americas) will be targeted
to achieve the overall desired level of growth. The company expects to achieve cross-
selling between the liquor and packaging businesses to increase sales. 

Importantly, the businesses will have a vertical integration advantage, therefore being
able to compete on the same basis as the big players (with control of the whole
process) but will be actually competing against smaller players, many of whom do
not have the vertical integration advantage.

The company has also decided to acquire state of the art equipment imported from
Italy, which will allow for the bottling/packaging at an economical cost of the various
product lines that will be produced.
