This document outlines the production schedule for a documentary about mobile phone use. Over six lessons, the filmmakers recorded background footage, introductions, interviews ("VOX POPs") with elders and college students, and footage of people on their phones. They interviewed an expert from a phone shop about trends and a teacher about phone addiction in teenagers. Additional recordings were made outside of lessons to supplement interviews that didn't record well. The schedule documents the progress made in capturing footage and interviews to edit into the documentary.

- Recorded background footage (fillers) for our documentary so the
locations where we will be recording to let our audience know where we are. E.g. Touchwood, Phone Club in Touchwood, Solihull 6th Form College. Attempted to record our introduction and experiment the way we would like it. Planned how many VOX POP we would attempt to get next lesson and also came up with a couple of questions to ask them. LESSON 2- 6/11/2017
Recorded a few VOX POP's at Touchwood (mostly elders -
secondary audience). This enabled us to get a view of the elders about mobile phones as they didn't grow up with compared to teenagers in the present moment. Recorded our introduction. Recorded many clips for our montage (people on their phone relating it to our documentary). We recorded this information to make our documentary look interesting and also to show our audience that most people do use their phones in college, if given the chance. LESSON 3 8/11/2017 Recorded more VOX POP's (primary audience but turned out unsuccessful due to the audio) OUT OF LESSON- 9/11/2017
We decided to take out equipment to record more VOX
POP of the secondary audience as others have turned out unsuccessfully. However, they were unsuccessful as we had problems with our sound on the camera We got some good background shots of the Phone shop, that we could place in our documentary as it links in with the topic. LESSON 4- 13/11/2017
We took our equipment to touchwood to record our expert and
more VOX POP of the secondary audience as we did not have many. We were able to successfully interview our expert who was the owner of Phone club. He explained too above the various people that come into his store to purchase phones and products. As well as this he explained to us the demand for mobile phones in the present moment and what happens to the old phones as more advanced phones are released like IPhone 8 and X, Samsung s8. We were also able to get 3 interviews for our secondary VOX POP. LESSON 5- 15/11/2017
We recorded the primary VOX POP of our age audience in
college. This enabled us to see how many college students are actually addicted to their phones, which was quite a lot. It also showed us the difference between the primary and secondary audience in terms of mobile phone addiction. The obvious pattern was shown as it was clearly shown that teenagers were more addicted to phones than the older audience. We also went around college to record more background fillers of people on their phones. LESSON 6 20/11/2017
We recorded some more background footage in college of
the students on their phones. We did this because we thought having more background footage would be valuable for when we start editing. We also recorded our second expert who was a media / IT teacher in college. This enable us to gain valuable knowledge on our topic and we also learnt why teenagers are so addicted to their phones as he gave us examples of how many times he has caught students using their phones in lesson.
