Intentionality
"Making Students' Jobs More Meaningful" Kelly Field - The Chronicle of Higher Education

to "equip students with the ability to articulate the meaning of their work"

“...some colleges are trying to make campus work more meaningful — or at least to communicate its value better” by “rewriting job
descriptions, creating skilled internships, and helping students find meaning in even the most mundane work.”

“Almost two-thirds of students work at least part time, thousands of them on their own campuses” that are “already learning job skills
— they just don’t realize it, or they can’t translate their work experience into terms that resonate with employers.”

"...recognize that a lot of these student jobs have mundane aspects,...but that doesn’t mean they can’t be learning experiences."

George Kuh, founder of the National Survey of Student Engagement, states "employers today don’t care what classes you took, they
want to know what you’ve learned and how you’re going to use it in the job."
