principle

The principle underlying evaporative cooling is the fact

that water must have heat applied to it to change from a
liquid to a vapour . When evaporation occurs, this heat is
taken from the water that remains in the liquid state,
resulting in a cooler liquid.
In evaporative cooling , a fluid is cooled while it flows
through a tube. Water flows in a film or spray about the
outside of the tube , and air is blown past the water to
carry away the heat removed fro the tube fluid.
• Temperatures are high
• Humidity is Low
• Water can be spared for its use
• Air movement is available (from wind to
electric fan)
