• About the Author

• Engr. Bernard A. Pareja holds a bachelor’s degree
in Civil Engineering from Far Eastern University,
Philippines and certified Oracle user of Primavera
P6 software. He has worked in various design
and construction company both locally and
abroad particularly in Gulf Countries like Qatar
and Saudi Arabia, taught few engineering units in
Adamson University and Far Eastern University
and lecturer in SPLBE Riyadh, KSA.

• Preface
• “Wisdom is not a product of schooling but of the
lifelong attempt to acquire it” (Albert Einstein)
• I started to give tutorial classes for P6 software
but my passion to share wisdom drove me to
start this module to reach not only interested
colleagues in PICE but most importantly the new
planners and P6 users.
• The availability of report to determine
construction site performance and cause of
delays in critical path activities are common
issues in building construction that need to be
addressed. The P6 software simplifies the
importance of this job to closely monitor every
activities. Using dashboard provide updated and
accurate progress project report not only to
management but to consultant and stakeholders
as well. Those baseline study that determined
existing site condition, SPI, CPI and KPI to
construction works contributes to exercise good
engineering judgment, identifies potential areas
of conflicts to solve site problems are basically
the positive output of the system.
• The module I prepared discussed the basic and
advance primavera scheduling using P6 R16.2
software to give an overview and effective usage
of the software to create resource loading, show
critical path , produce and handle claims of
extension of time (EOT).
