 Work of Air
 Air in the atmosphere is always moving. Moving air is
called wind. The wind blows where areas of high and
low atmospheric pressure meet .Big areas of high and
low atmospheric pressure cause stroms.
 VOLCANOES roll no 62
 A volcano is a vent or opening in the earth crust which
molten magma erupts as lava. For example
 Volcanoes
 Mountains that erupt are called volcanoes. Some
volcanoes erupt with violent explosions that release
huge amounts of ash, gas, and lava. These eruptions
pose a great danger to people living nearby. Other
volcanoes erupt with less force and send lava flowing
quietly down the mountainside.
.
Earthquakes roll no 63
When Earth’s rocky outer surface shakes, we feel it as an
earthquake. Earthquakes occur more than a thousand
times a day around the world. More than 100 people died in
the quake, which destroyed buildings and ripped up
streets..
Work Of Ice :Glacial Erosion
 WORK OF ICE Glacial Erosion
 Glaciers are ‘rivers of ice’ found in the high mountains.
When glaciers move, they erode land and change its
shape. In the mountains, glaciers can carve out large
valleys such as this one in Switzerland.
 Glaciers
 Glaciers are large sheets of ice that move slowly over
land. This photograph shows Hubbard Glacier
entering Glacier Bay in Alaska.

Work of Sea Waves----- Earthquakes under the ocean can
cause giant waves called tsunamis. About two-thirds of the
planet is covered in the salty water of the oceans. The two
biggest oceans are the Pacific and the Atlantic.
