CRIME AND CRIMINALITY HAVE
BEEN ASSOCIATED WITH MAN
SINCE HIS FALL.
CRIME IS DIRECTLY OPPOSITE TO
DEVELOPMENT. IT LEAVES A
NEGATIVE SOCIAL AND
ECONOMIC CONSEQUENCE.
THE INTERNET IN INDIA IS GROWING
RAPIDLY. IT HAS GIVEN RISE TO NEW
OPPORTUNITIES IN EVERY FIELD WE CAN
THINK OF – BE IT ENTERTAINMENT,
SPORTS, BUSINESS OR EDUCATION. THERE
ARE TWO SIDES OF A COIN. INTERNET
ALSO HAS ITS OWN DISADVANTAGES. ONE
OF THE MAJOR DISADVANTAGE IS
CYBERCRIME.
CYBERCRIME- AN ILLEGAL ACTIVITY
COMITTED ON COMPUTER.
CYBERCRIME IS DEFINED AS CRIMES
COMMITTED ON INTERNET USING
COMPUTER AS A TOOL OR A TARGETED
VICTIM. THIS INCLUDES ANYTHING FROM
DOWNLOADING ILLEGAL MUSIC FILES TO
STEALING MILLIONS OF DOLLARS FROM
ONLINE BANK ACCOUNTS.

distribution and use of computer software. since
software is very valuable many users and computer
professionals are making an exact copy of a program

viruses having computed diskettes and defective

ACCOUNTS ON A SYSTEM.

BAD INTENTION ARE MISUSING THE ASPECT
OF THE INTERNET.
