Who invented it and information about him?
● In 1933 Ub Iwerks created the Multiplane Camera
● He was a animator and director for Walt Disney
Studios.
● Ub Iwerks could make 700 drawings
● for “Mickey Mouse” in 1928.

What was the problem?

They wanted to limit the amount of background drawing and make it


easier to make a cartoon.

How it works and why?

The multiplane Camera takes


drawings and and over lapes
them to make it look like it is
one drawing. With this they
could just draw one background
and reuse it..

received the patent for the multiplane camera.
● The Patent number is US2201689A
● They applied for a patent in 1936.
● So it expired in 1960.
