Objective(s): To understand how our eating
habits are important for our health to learn
how to build a diet adapted to our needs.
Learning objective(s): To learn some concepts
related to food and nutrients to identify the
type of food that is good for a healthy diet.

Research and prepare a speech for the class about healthy eating, also create
an appropriate diet for 3 people who perform different activities in their daily
basis.

• Pronunciation
• Fluency (the student acted as a facilitator, helping to develop the conversation in a fluent way).

• Voice and non-verbal communication (pronunciation was clear and inflection and expressions are
used to improve communication.)
• Listen (The student answered the questions appropriately, understood all the questions asked and
incorporated them into the discussion.)
• Creativity is represented in bringing all the necessary material to carry out the activity
• Visual contact with the audience: look at the audience throughout the presentation as you speak.
• The use of note cards: look at the audience when speaking, not reading directly from the cards.

MENDING ORIENTED ACTIONS
• If the students take the motivation to misbehave he/she will
less from 1 to ten points of his/her participation mark.
• If the students distract others he/she has to talk in front of the
class and apologize.
• If the students frequently have a bad behavior will be notified
in the folder of behavior.

• FOOD AND HEALTH
• We need a balanced diet of varied meals
containing food that has the right nutrients. It
is bad for our health to eat too many fast
foods, sweets, or sweet drinks. They have too
many sugars and fats.
 NUTRIENTS: Substances that give us energy
and help us to grow.
Our body needs a variety of healthy foods. Each
food gives us different types of nutrients.

Give us energy and protect us against the cold. Carbohydrates:


We find them in bread, cereals, rice, pasta,oil,butter and
vegetables.
**Cereals also have fiber that helps us to digest food.**

They are important for the nervous system and


make our muscles work well. We find them in
fruit and vegetables.
**Fruit and vegetables also have fiber


Where Does food come from?

• Meat, fish, eggs, and milk come from animals.


They are rich in proteins and fat.
• Oil, fruit, vegetables, and cereals come from
plants. They are rich in carbohydrates and
vitamins.
• Other food, such as salt, comes from minerals.
