Ethical Decisions

I have to use the Code of Ethics in my everyday routine at Genesis.

I need to make sure I understand that all residents come from a diverse background, I need to
treat all with respect, and my director told me that I need to always adhere to her and ask her
questions when I am unsure of what to do in a situation.
Professionalism
My director encouraged me to always ask her questions and to make sure to reflect on my day to make sure
that I am aware of the professionalism in the workplace.

She informed me of the behavior I should have towards the residents as well as the dress code to adhere to.

She also tells me how to properly document assessments.

Technology
I have my own computer at the internship that gives me the proper forms to fill out assessments.

I am to always have my phone on silent but on me, in case of emergency.

Supervision
As noted before, my supervisor tells me to always consult her if I have any questions or doubts about a
situation or resident.

My supervisor also told me that many of the staff are also there to help me if she is unavailable.
