Foundation (Marxism) Prepared By: ERGI FATHURACHMAN – 700301 Group B Boeing and PT. Dirgantara Indonesia CEO responding class exploitation from the perspective of global capitalism foundation. Part 1: Boeing and PT. Dirgantara Indonesia CEO responding class exploitation from the perspective of global capitalism foundation The objective is to identify the strategic management that uses by both CEO responding the external and internal challenge. Global class exploitation nowadays becomes the serious concern for some elements in this world. The domination of core countries that exploit the periphery day by day could not be avoided. Marx believed that someday the class exploitation will be ends. But the real condition today the class exploitation still continues until nowadays. Aerospace industry for instance, either sector which got the impact from the class exploitation, the domination of product core countries in all around the world could not the industries from periphery countries work hard to survive. Part 2: Core CEO confronting global class exploitation Management Resource Boeing has been a leader in research design and manufacture of commercial jets airliners, industrial and military customers. Management Goal The management goal of Boeing is to maintain the global market both military and civil sector. Management Mean Boeing has management philosophy “people working together as a global enterprise for aerospace industry”. Part 2: Core CEO confronting global class exploitation Management Team W. James (Jim) McNerney,Jr Was born on August 22, 1949 in Providence, Rhode Island. Officially he became a Boeing CEO’s since July 1st, 2005 He graduate from Yale University then he got MBA from Harvard Business School. Internal and External Challenge and management shift Management Goal In 2015 Boeing to make 754 commercial jet deliveries in 2015, up from Boeing target between 715 and 725 in 2014 Management Team There is no significant shift, Jim has been becoming the CEO of Boeing since 2005, the character and experience of Jim needs by Boeing. Management Mean United States government has been fully support the existence of Boeing company for instance when the APEC meeting in Bali, U.S. Government with Boeing together sign trade MOU between Lion Air and Boeing. Management resource modified Boeing Company provides human resources with high tech and high capability in order to increasing the Boeing performance. Part 3: Periphery CEO confronting global class exploitation Management Resource PT. Dirgantara Indonesia has a big potential with the existence of Habibie. Habibie or Baharudin Jusuf Habibi is the expert in aerospace Management Goal The management goal of PT. Dirgantara Indonesia is ended the survival phase in 2015 Management Mean PT. Dirgantara Indonesia nowadays since they collapse in 1998, they change the business strategies. Part 3: Periphery CEO confronting global class exploitation Management Team Budi Santoso Became the PT. DI CEO since 2007. graduated from Institut Teknologi Bandung and Doctor from Katholieke Universiteit Leuven, Belgium Internal and External Challenge and management shift Management Resources Within the disbursement of fund from government about Rp. 1 trillion, Budi Santoso decide to development of human resource. Management Goal PT. Dirgantara Indonesia will be aerospace industry not only become the component industry. Management Team There is no management shift in PT. Dirgantara Indonesia nowadays, ministry of state enterprise asses PT. Dirgantara Indonesia has been success under Budi Santoso. Management Mean Budi Santoso develop cooperation with Airbus, PT Dirgantara Indonesia is supplier some Airbus component particulary for A320 and A380. Part 4: Comparison and conclusion Actually we can see the differences management shift that taken by two CEO confronting global capitalist market. The strategies that used by Boeing CEO are in order to achieve their goal to occupy the commercial and military aircraft in this world. Boeing as the leading aerospace industry has different level with PT Dirgantara. The policies are issued by PT. Dirgantara Indonesia only for makes this company survival. We can see the periphery company such as PT. Dirgantara Indonesia, fight only for survival they company. the global capitalist market has been makes the periphery companies could not compete with them, because market has been occupy by core companies and market trust does not believe to periphery companies. Part 4: Comparison and conclusion First, we understand that the market class exploitation between core and periphery companies will be continue and never ends from exploitation, so that we have to prepare the strategic management to facing those problems that always found. The second within understanding every problem that facing by CEO confronting global capitalist market also, makes us to can choose the correct solution with the minimize the mistakes. And then the last we have to facing the problems that coming from internal, we could not avoid that but how we manage the internal problems without influences to the company productivity.
