Characteristics of ARGUS OXM-C
Physical
ARGUS OXM-C is a lightweight and compact handheld type oximeter
170×88×32(mm) (H×W×D) and weighing 300g. Its carrying handle is designed for
the instrument transport during battery-powered monitoring.

Electrical
ARGUS OXM-C is powered by an internal battery pack that provides 4 hours of
monitoring from fully charged batteries (typical performance is at 25 °C). The
batteries are continuously recharged when DC Adapter (12V/2.5A) is connected to
the monitor.

Display
ARGUS OXM-C has display that shows numeric patient information as well as
alphanumeric status conditions and error codes.

Product Cleaning

● For cleaning surface of ARGUS OXM-C , wipe the surface of the


equipment with soft cloths dampened with detergent available in the
market.
CAUTION: Before cleaning, please unplug DC power form the
equipment.
CAUTION: Be careful not to make water or detergent enter the inside
of the equipment during cleaning.

Note: If liquid like water or detergent are spilled, clean well and
dry it thoroughly before using.
Battery maintenance

 ARGUS OXM-C uses only Ni-MH battery. If the equipment has not been used

longer than 2 months, charge the battery before using.

 We recommend replacing the battery every two years.

 Please remove the battery if the equipment is to be stored longer than 2 months.

Note: Long storage of ARGUS OXM-C without removing battery may degrade

the battery performance. For the restoration of the normal capacity of the

battery, full charge and discharge is required.

Charge the battery fully for about 200 minutes with the equipment turned off.
Measurement parameters test

1. Connect SpO2 simulator after turning on the power.


2. Set up the simulator as follows.
- SpO2 70 %, PR 60 BMP
3. Check SpO2 value and PR value.
- Check if pulse beat sounds.
- Check SpO2 value displays within ±2 % tolerance.
- Check if heart rate displays within ±2 % tolerance or ±3BPM.
- Check if pulse size displays.
4. Check if SENSOR OFF displays on the screen when
disconnecting SpO2 sensor from the equipment.

 Remove 4 screws and disassemble the Bottom case.


 Remove 4 screws of the Bottom Case.
 Remove the battery connected to the main board and
speaker connecter.
 Remove 5 screws of main board.
 Separate Top case from main board by removing
LCD connector

Troubleshooting

If the equipment is not turned on when pressing Power Button.


● It may be the problem of power fuse. Please request service
personnel of Medical Supply to exchange the power fuse.
● If ARGUS OXM-C is operated by battery, charge the battery.
Refer to ‘Battery Operation’ Chapter of this manual.

It indicates that it is operated by battery despite being operated


by DC power.
● Check if power code is connected correctly.
● Check if other equipment that uses DC power is turned on.
● If the equipment detects DC power error, it operates by inner
battery.
