MAHMOUD MOKHTAR

(1891-1934 )
 Mahmud Mokhtar grew up in the village of Tanbarah. His father, Ibrahim, al-
Issawi was the mayor of the village, but Mokhtar lived with his
grandmother for his mother in his uncle's house in the village of Nasha in
Mansoura
 Mokhtar lived most of his life and had little money. He
did not care for money or marriage in the world
because of his keenness to serve his art and his
mission.
 When a young child spent most of his time next to the
canal, he saw scenes in the mud that he saw around him
in the village.
 Mahmoud Mukhtar came to Cairo in 1902 and lived in
its old neighborhood. The school of fine arts opened
nearby. The "Grammar Trail" in 1908 was the entrance of
the boy to an unexpected future.

 A bright choice of foreign professors appeared,

which led them to dedicate a "special ceremony" for
him to prepare his sculptures, statues and forms
that restore the scenes of the countryside.
 His talent also pushed the sponsor of the school,
Prince Yusuf Kamal sent the boy to Paris, to be
studied there. Mahmood Mukhtar grew up in his care
and received the first art teacher at the school
attached to Prince Yusuf Kamal Bey's palace

 The statue of the Renaissance of Egypt:

has captured the attention of European critics. Egypt is the
embodiment of the peasant's body, standing with its greatness and
pride, and a tangle of immortality. The national forces are the
Sphinx, touched by a magical Egyptian woman, In the path of
revolution, which broke out a year before the chosen creation of his
statue and exhibited at the Paris Salon in 1920.

 MAHMOUD MOKHTAR MUSEUM :

The efforts of Huda Shaarawi and Taha Hussein have had a
major impact on the restoration and preservation of Egypt. In
1952, a museum was opened in a special annex to the Museum
of Modern Art to display 59 statues, and the architect Ramses
Wassef designed the Museum of Modern Talking in the Liberty
Park in central Cairo
