Albendazole(Albenza)
• Works by keeping the worm from absorbing
sugar (glucose), so that the worm loses energy
and dies.
Adverse Effect
• Abdominal pain
• Diarrhea
• Headache and Dizziness
Use in Pregnancy and Breastfeeding

• Should not be administered during the first


trimester or in suspected pregnancy, safe in
later trimesters.
Artemisinin-derivatives
• Drug used for Plasmodium falcifarum Malaria.
• Contain peroxide which believed to be
responsible for the drug's mechanism of
action.
