Environmental engineering is the branch of engineering concerned with the application of

scientific and engineering principles for protection of human populations from the effects of
adverse environmental factors; protection of environments, both local and global, from
potentially deleterious effects of natural and human activities; and improvement of
environmental quality
 •The Taro
A Crops; are generally divided into three
types namely: Bogor taro, Padang taro,
and belitung taro; the trunkof taro have
contains 1% cellulose; taro different with
“keladi”.

Only have two quality : the first quality
and the second quality; from cotton linter;
as stabilizer, thickener, adhesive, and
emulsifier.
 Background of Problem
Harvest of taro is 1999 17.699 ton/year (only tuber to Proceed))
