• Who: 8th grade students who have attendance issues,
two or more failing grades or a teacher in the building who
feels as though they may benefit from this group.
• What: Group meetings
• Where: Gray's Creek Middle School
• When: Every Thursday During Den Time (Homeroom)
• Why: To improve their grades, promote positive behaviors
and a smooth transition into highschool

 OUTCOME OF GROUP SO FAR
• Attendance, grades and accountability has improved for some.
• However, for those who lack intrinsic motivation it has been hard
to get them to put in the effort outside of group. We had one
student who although she was placed in the group never came
as she was absent everytime we had group.
• Through conducting this group I realize how important intrisic
motivation truly is especially in adolescence.
