Manifestations of SJS

and TEN
SJS and TEN usually begin with prodromal symptoms ranging from 1-14
days of fever, malaise, cough, corizal, swallowing pain, chest pain,
vomiting, muscle aches and atralgia that vary greatly in degree of
weight and combination of symptoms. Then the patient experiences a
red, red rash on the face and torso, often extends to the rest of the
body in an uneven pattern.
In this syndrome seen triage abnormality in the
form:
• Skin disorders (Skin disorders consist of erythema,
vesicles and bullae. The vesicles and the bull then
break apart resulting in extensive erosion. Besides
it can also occur purpura. In severe form the
disorder is generalized)
• Abnormalities of the mucous membranes in the orifices
(The deformities of vesicles and bullae quickly split up
into erosion and excoriation and blackish crust. Can also
form pseudomembrane. On the lips a disorder that often
appears is a black and thick crust. Abnormalities in the
mucosa may also be difaring, upper respiratory tract, and
esophagus. This stomatitis can cause difficult / unable to
swallow. The presence of pseudomembranes in the
pharynx can cause complaints difficult to breathe)

• Eye disorders (Eye disorders account for 80% of all cases;


the most common is cataror conjunctivitis. It may also be
purulent conjunctivitis, hemorrhage, symbopharynge,
corneal ulcers, iritis, and iridocyclitis)
