Alain Robert-Grille
August 18th, 1922 – February 18th 2018

 Published the novel La Jalousie in the year 1957


 On March 25th, 2004, Robert-Grille was elected as
a member to the Academie Francaise
 He was also a prominent screenwriter and director
in the world of cinema, with many of his films going
on to win dozens of awards
 From 1943 to 1944 Robert-Grille participated in
compulsory labor in Nuremberg, working as a
machinist

having an affair, it also refers
to how his interpretation of
events is affected by the very
object he is using to observe
the affair.
Marguerite Duras

 Duras was also a playwright, screenwriter, essayist
and experimental filmmaker
 Her script for Hiroshima Mon Amour was nominated
for Best original Screenplay at The Academy
Awards
 Duras was also a member of the French Resistance
during WWII
