• The Technology Strategy Board is to invest up to £3m in innovative collaborative

research, development and demonstration in the area of wave and tidal stream
energy technologies.

• This competition is targeting precommercial full-scale devices installed and operating in

the sea, including those supported by Carbon Trust's Marine Renewables Proving Fund (MRPF)

• Nanotechnology researchers and industry specialists are being invited to propose

business-led research projects that will compete for £7million to help stimulate the next
generation of solar energy harvesting technologies.

• The competition is launched this week by the Engineering and Physical Sciences
Research Council (EPSRC) and the Technology Strategy Board

Technology Innovation Competition for Growth

• The Technology Strategy Board proposes to stimulate innovation across its key enabling
technology areas to help ensure that UK businesses are well-equipped to respond to the
challenges presented by the economic downturn and slow recovery. We have allocated up to

Energy Efficiency Water Treatment Grant

• The Energy Efficiency Water Treatment (EEWT) is a program that offers financial
assistance to government-owned Water Treatment Facilities for projects that reduce a facility’s
energy consumption. EEWT grants provide funding of up to $100,000 for the installation of
highly efficient pumps, motors, and blowers. EEWT applications must be submitted
electronically.

 Indiana Energy Efficiency Incentives (2 of 2)

Indiana Community Conservation Challenge

• Grant Type: Installation Projects

• Amount: $100,000
• Geographic Focus: Indiana (US)
• Deadline: 1st October 2010

• The Community Conservation Challenge (CCC) is a program that offers financial

assistance to nonprofit organizations for projects that reduce a facility’s energy consumption.
CCC grants provide funding of up to $100,000 for the implementation of highly leveraged,
unique, visible community energy conservation projects.
