Introduction to Service Sector

 Service sector industry in India are becoming critical


source of wealth in many ways to the economies.
 Economies experienced increase in employment with
the growth in the service sector.
 While employment in the manufacturing sector
receding every year, employment in service sector
is rising.
 Even in the times of economic recession, unlike in
the manufacturing sector, the service sector has
kept employment up .
INTRODUCTION TO HEALTHCARE SECTOR

 Having the right marketing mix to market the


services of the health care industry is very
important.
 Using the right balance of marketing elements,
marketers can ensure that their marketing efforts
fetch them expected result.
 The fact that healthcare service where the customer
will not be satisfied with anything but the best
makes it essential for service providers to take
extra care in planning their marketing mix.

 Registered as a charitable trust, the M H Saboo
siddique Hospital is part of Muslim ambulance
society. the Hospital is a 110-bed ,offering quality
health care.
The M H Saboo siddique hospital is equipped with
a two-room operation theatre , an intensive care
unit, an intensive cardiac care unit, a dialysis unit
in every department.
HABIB HOSPITAL
 Habib Hospital is a 100-bed private hospital
providing a wide range of medical and surgical
services for the total management of patients.
 For over 80 years the Habib Hospital Trust, has
been a light for the suffering. Situated in the heart
of South Mumbai, the 100 bedded hospital, is
renowned for its medical expertise, excellent
nursing care and quality diagnostics.
1. PRODUCT
 The product elements of healthcare consist of the
actual medical treatment provided in the hospitals
 The product also includes supplementary services
like maintenance of the case history of patients,
registration, billing and support operation like diet,
pharmacy etc. These all service comes under
packaging of any hospital.

 The fee strategy for all the hospitals should be in
proportion to the incomes of users, which would
engineer a sound foundation for qualitative or
quantitative improvements.

 To retain the patients it’s necessary that the hospitals
provide good services to all the patients
 and that too at affordable prices. The success of the
hospital will mainly be dependent on the
 people offering the services. So it’s very necessary for
the hospitals that they retain the good
 doctors and support staff to serve the patients better
and be successful
CONCLUSION
 As we had visited 2 private hospital organization
located in south Mumbai namely 1)M.H Saboo
Siddique Maternity and General hospital and
2)Habib Hospital.we understood the entire hospital
sector and it’s working environment.
 As we compared and analyzed both the hospital
under the service marketing mix. We conclude that
in all aspects of services the Habib hospital is better
than M.H Saboo Siddique Hospital.
