This document summarizes an international conference on connecting social pedagogy, social education, design thinking, and design for change. The conference included sessions on the objectives and benefits of promoting innovation using educational design approaches. Activities were used to demonstrate design thinking and design for change methods, including an exercise where participants worked in teams to design solutions to real problems by empathizing, defining, ideating, prototyping, and testing solutions. The document concludes by thanking the presenters for their discussion of how design methods can spark innovations to address social and community needs.
