What is South American music?
 South American music refers to music originating from Latin
America. South American music was made during the 16th
Century. South American music also incorporates African
music from slaves who were transported to the Americas by
European settler. South American was also strongly influenced
by Spain. During the 20th century, many styles were
influenced by the music of the United States of
America giving rise to genres such as Latin pop, rock jazz, and
hip hop.

 Latin American music encompasses a wide variety of


styles, including influential genres such as bachata,
bossa, nova, merengue, rumba, salsa, son, and tango.

South America. Guiro: it is a wooden instrument with notches on
which a stick is rubbed to produce the sounds. Bongos : Cuban
instrument composed of two small drums of different size. Claves:
the claves are wooden cylinders. Champeta: the champeta is
liberation sound cultural of Afro Colombia.
