Powering San Marin

By Wesley, Ashley, and Gigi

Energy usage at San Marin

● Using data from 2015 we found that San Marin uses an

average of 43,354kWh per month

● The winter months use about 10,000kWh more than this and

the summer months use about 6,000kWh less

Our Grid

● Uses Solar Power

● Stores extra energy in powerbank

● Wires connecting panels and power sources

Our Generator

● Will use 1,500 panels

● Excess energy will be stored in powerbank and will be

used at times when less energy is being used such as

night and winter

Type Of Solar Panel

● 250 watt panel

● Produces 30 kWh a month

● 65’ by 39’
Cost of Panels

● Cost Per Panel: $17,050

● $ per watt: $3.34

● Total Cost: $25,575,000

Cost of Everything Else

● Wire:$211.50 for every 800 ft

● Generator:$59,000 for 10 batteries
● Installation:$35,000
Transporting Electricity

● We plan to have a battery outside

● The battery will be our power source
● We plan to have multiple wires connecting from the
battery to all places that use power.
