ARGUEMENT
For More Censorship : Against Censorship :
– Prevent violence that – Hindering the
is seen on TV entertainment
– Less negative potential
influences in life – Kids will find ways
around censors
Why TV is censored right 
now?
Basic reason=
Excessive violence, nudity, select profanity
What should be changed?

– The adult jokes in programs PG and below

– The amount of general violence in
programming
Why these changes?

– Kids(3-18years) are the most susceptible

– Negative imagery leaves a lasting impact in the
long haul
Why those specific changes?

– Studies show kids spend more time watching TV

than learning in school
– The negative infuences on the children are too
large
Can’t we just keep TV the 
way it is?
– There are no problems right now with current
system
– Shows will be less funny/dramatic/etc in some
peoples eyes
Sadly, we can’t..
In today’s society, we can’t let kids have anymore
bad influences
What I believe should be 
done?
– Censor all adult jokes and excessive violence
under the rating of D 17+
– Do this by installing a chip in cable box that
automatically censors
