Authoritative Parenting
• Authoritative Parenting is when a parent has a lot of rules and
shows loving to their child.
• Authoritative parenting is a parenting style characterized by
high responsiveness and high demands. Authoritative parents
are responsive to the child's emotional needs while having high
standards.
Autocratic Parenting
• Autocratic Parenting is when is when a Parent has
high control of their child but show’s low warmth to
their child.
• Autocratic refers to a rigid parenting style also
known as the authoritarian style. Autocratic parents
want their children to be well-behaved and
successful, but their strict manner
of parenting doesn't allow for much warmth and
love towards their child.
Permissive Parenting
• Permissive Parenting is when Parent’s show High
Warmth but have no control of their child.
• Permissive parents tend to be very loving, yet
provide few guidelines and rules. These parents do
not expect mature behavior from their children and
often seem more like a friend than a parental figure.
• Unengaged Parenting is
when a parent has low
warmth and low control over
their child, (basically their
child raises themselves.)
