K TYPES OF SCHOOLS Introduction: In Indian education system is given in both perfectorily and non-perfectorily. Education is given in perfectorily like schools, colleges, and universities. They are classified as, • State • Aided • Un-aided STATE SCHOOL • The schools which are established by the state government are called state or government school. • These schools receives all the facilities from the state government. • The administration of these schools are fully controlled by the state government and also the rules and regulations are formed by the government. Features of State school: • Government will directly establish the state schools according to the importance and suitable place. • State schools will get all the grants which were released by the state and central government. • State should follow the legally decided curriculum by the state or central government. • The curriculum and study materials of all the state schools will be the same. • Government will take the responsibility to appoint the teacher for state schools. • Government is providing midday meals and also iron content tablets. • In these schools medium of instruction is mother tongue otherwise the importance is given to regional language. Salary of staffs • Head masters - Rs 22800 – Rs 43,200 • Teachers --------17,650 – 32,000 • Clerk ------------ 14,550 – 26,700 • Attender ------- 9600 – 14, 650 Teachers facility: • Yearly 15CL to 2 RH and 10 E L. • The maternity leave is available for women employee for six month with salary. • Many industries have leave allowance called paternity leave, which men can allow to stay with their wife after delivery. Advantages: • They provided free education for these who cannot afford. • They give reserved seats for SC/ST background. • Fees are very less. • Provides food and clothes to children. Disadvantages: • Some of the school have seen do not have proper building. • The teachers aren’t able to focus more attention on individual students. • They don’t bother for their education. AIDED SCHOOL These schools are established by private people with permission of government .After the service of several years, These schools will get the aid from governments. This type of schools are called aided school. These schools will get all the facilities from the government. Features of Aided school: • These schools are controlled by private people or management and it should follow the rules and regulations of state government. • Aided school will get all the grants which were released by the state government. • Aided schools should follow the legally decided curriculum by the state or central government. • These school try to adopts the new teaching method, but it may not possible for shortage of aid. • These school also have strict rules to conduct the particular co-curricular activity. • They should follow the rules and regulations as well as instructions from the state government. • Management or headmaster will appoint the teacher for these schools , but these teachers should recognized by the state government. Un-aided school • These schools are established by the private people or institute or trust with permission of state government. But these schools will not get any aid from the government. This type of schools or private schools are called un- aided or private or independent schools. • As of march 2006, karnataka had 54,529 primary school with 252,875 teachers . • Like wise there are 9,499 secondary schools with 92,287 teachers with 1.384 million students . • In india 339.000 school & 69 million student study in 247,843 private school. Features of un-aided school: • Un-aided school should get permission from the state or central government for the establishment. • These schools will adopt different type of academic curriculum like CBSE, ICSE, CISCE etc. • Usually the medium of instruction in un-aided school is English, they also give provision for mother tongue and as well as regional language. • These school do not have any particular co- curricular activities. • They can conduct co-curricular action according to their needs. • They will appoint the teacher according to the decision of management or head master. • The administration of these schools are controlled by chairmen and other member of the institution. TYPES OF SCHOOLS IN RELATION TO FUNDING: • In India education is giving in both perfectorily and un-perfectorily. Education is giving in perfectorily like school, college and universities. Funding related to state school: • Without funding, the schools cannot run, so it is important in government schools. • The state government will provide the fund for the schools building. • State government will provide the salary for teaching and non-teaching staffs according to their experience and job. • Government provide the fund for furniture's. Aided school • These schools are established by private peoples with the permission of government. • Later, after the service of several years, the government will take care of these schools. • These aided schools will get all the facilities from the government. Funding related to aided school: • Management should give funds for the school building, government do not release any aid for the school building. • Government will provide funds for the needed teaching materials. • At the beginning management will provide salary for teaching and non teaching staff , but after gathering aid from government, government will gives salary for the staffs. • State government is providing funds for midday meals as like state schools. • Government and management will give funds for the furniture's. Un-aided school • These schools are established by the private people or trust with the permission of state government. • These schools will not get any fund from the government. Funding related to un-aided school: • The management will provide the funds for school building. • It is the responsibility of the management to provide funds for the teaching materials furniture's other materials, which are necessary for the school. • The management will provide the salary for teaching and non-teaching staff. But the salary is very less compare to the government teachers. CONCLUSION: • The schools which are established by the state government are called state/government school. • The schools are established by private people with permission of government after the service of several years, these schools will get the aid from governments. This type of school are called aided school. • The schools are established by the private people or institute or trust with the permission of state government. But these schools will not get any aid from the government. This type of schools are called un-aided schools.
