CAMPUS PLACEMENT OF

VIRGIN MOBILE
PROJECT REPORT

METHODOLOGY USED

Went out to different classes and met no. of students.


Told them all about the Virgin Mobile’s newly

launched GSM services and also about the concept of


No. portability.
Then probed them that how many of them are not

satisfied with their current Service Provider?


And whether change of no. is the barrier for them in

changing the service provider?

Then I gave all of them the Questionnaires
and asked them to fill the same .
After that I studied all the questionnaires and

drawn some specific results from them.


And made a spread sheet of that in excel of

that which contained all the proportional details


of the findings.
FINDINGS
 In the survey it was found that all most all of the youth
were using mobile phones.
Most of them preferred Nokia as their of cell phone.

Airtel and Reliance were the major Service

Provider(S.P.) preferred by the youth its, only due to


better network and cheaper tariffs of sms and calls on the
same network.
Some also liked Docomo for its second billing plan,

some preferred Vodafone also.


FINDINGS (CONTD…)
People who were not satisfied with their S.P. and who
were using the same no. since very long time were ready
to change their S.P. given their no. remains the same.
Most people were ready to pay between Rs.50-100 for

using the service.


While people who were quite new to use the mobile

phone were not ready to pay for it.


Generally professionals and earning people who were

having some special no. were ready to pay for even an


amount between 100-500 or even more than 500.
ANALYSIS

In my findings I analyzed that the concept of


no. portability is really good and it will go
ahead given that the money charged for it
should not be so much.
RECOMMENDATIONS
 For this I would recommend that first of all
Virgin Mobile should provide good network
services as lot many customers of other S.P.
are bothered because of the bad quality of the
network and hence it would be a great
opportunity for Virgin to make a safer place.
It should also offer some better tariff plan

like night calling free which would be


beneficial for the youth.
PROMOTION REPORT

Designing a T-Shirt was a new and creative


experience for all of us all my friends have
voted the T-Shirts on the face book so this
kind of promotional activity has really proved
fruitful.
LEARNINGS
In doing the research activity I met different
kinds of people and also understood their way
of looking towards any Brand or a person
belonging to that Brand, and what are their
perceptions.
I also learned how interact with new people

and get their favour.


In the promotional activities I also learnt to

design a T-Shirt.
SALES REPORT
12 sales were done by me further could have
been achieved which was not possible due to
unavailability of sim cards on the kiosk and
some other reasons.
EXPERIENCE AND
LEARNING
From this sales activity I have learned lot many
things and as I want to make carrier in the field
of telecommunication so it was a very great and
worthy experience for me. Also I cum to know
how people’s ideology and thinking changes
about you when you when you approach them
with your product. In all, all these activities
were worth of learning for me.
RECOMMENDATIONS

Company should attention on the


availability of the sim cards .
The daily reduction of Rs 1.50 should

be further reduced.
Company should also try provide its

own network.
CONCLUSION

Before working with Virgin Mobile I was


thinking that working in a newer company may
not be that much of useful and worthy but
when joined and started working the kind work
environment I got was really very great and
later I was feeling that it was our good luck that
we got to work with Virgin. In future also I
would also like to work with Virgin.
