Comparatives are used to compare two things. You


can use sentences with “than”, or you can use a
conjunction like “but”.

a) Michael is taller than John.

b) John is tall, but Michael is taller.

Superlatives are used to compare more than two


things.

John is tall, and Michael is taller,

Irregular adjectives like good or bad change the
spelling:
