yellow, but it is called
schwarz, rot, gold
(= black, red and gold).

Berlin was famous for its wall. The Berlin wall was
built in the night
on the 13th of August in 1961. It was
built by the East German Government
because most of the East German’s
were moving into the West Berlin or
West Germany because the East side was a
communist country and they wanted to live a
better life in the west.
The Berlin wall came down on the 9th of
November in 1989.

The famous symbol of Germany is


the Semperoper in Dresden.
It was build up from 1838 to 1841.
The climate in Germany!!
+the climate in Germany is every year the same, in spring it’s sunny but cold,
the first flowers come.

+in summer it’s very hot, up to 35°C.

+in autumn, it’s not hot and not cold

been destroyed during
the second world war.
Here is an example of traditional food eaten in Frankfurt. The dish is called
„Rippchen mit Sauerkraut“. In English: „ribbs with Sauerkraut“.
Adults drink wine made from apples with it, the so-called „Apfelwein“.
Young people rather drink apple juice (Apfelsaft).

Pumpernickel =
Pumpernickel is a type of German sourdough bread
made with rye meal.
Bratwurst =
Bratwurst is a type of sausage made of beef, pork
and sometimes veal.
Schnitzel =
Schnitzel is a thin slice of veal coated in
breadcrumbs and is fried.

• The Brothers Grimm are famous for publishing collections of
folk tales and fairy tales and for their work in linguistics
(language). Three of their works are Rapunzel, Hansel and
Gretel and Cinderella.
Festival celeberated in Germany
• The festival that Munchen is famous for is Oktoberfest. Oktoberfest is
held each year. Oktoberfest is a 2 week festival during late September and
early October. It is one of the most famous events in the city and is also
the world’s largest fair. They have approximately 6 million people who
attend the festival.

• The 3 German car names are BMW, Audi and
Porsche
• In 2006, Germany hosted the Football World
Cup
