 SCHOOL PROFILE

Classes, students and teachers

 In 2018, SMK Negeri 9 Malang have 879 students divided into 30

classes
 We have four programs, which are:
1. Computer and Network Engineering.
2. Computer Programming
3. Motorcycle Engineering
4. Animation
 And in 2018 we already have two industrial classes working with AXIOO
and HONDA.
 There are 59 teachers in SMK Negeri 9 Malang
ETA’s in SMK NEGERI 9 MALANG

 Our ETA, Miss Alexandra Gwynn will help to co-teaching in the 10th grade (10
classes with 3 English teachers).

 She will be a mentor in the English Club, and maybe will develop some projec
ts with the students and teachers of Animation.
School’s Rules and Regulations

 The teachers must arrive on time.

 No smoking, No Alcohol, and No drugs in school area.
 Wear an appropriate clothes to the school/class
(no low cut and skin revealing clothing for women)
and do not wearing sandals to the class.
 Ask a permission for sick leave or absence to the headmaster.
 SCHOOL EXPECTATION

The school expectation from our ETA are:

 To help us to improve the students’ skill especially in communicating

using English.
 Have a good teamwork with the English teachers to develop and
improve the teaching methods in the class.
 To help us to be a mentor in English Club and developing some activ
ities with the students and teachers.
 We hope that our ETA will have a good experiences in Malang
by learning our culture, exploring the places, testing the food, and b
eing our family member in SMK Negeri 9 Malang.
 SCHOOL PROGRAMS

The school programs for ETA for the next 10 months are:

1. Co-teaching with the English teachers to teach in 10th grade

(345 students in total, divided in 10 classes)
2. Mentoring the students who join the English club.
3. Helps the other teachers to improving their English.
4. Co-working with the teachers of Animation to do some project.
5. Participating in every school activities.

 JAVANESE CULTURE
The Javanese culture and ethics that you need to kn
ow
1. Using left hand especially in giving something to
someone is viewed as impolite.
2. Touching someone’s head without permission is
considered very rude and arrogant.
3. Javanese people are friendly and sweet, we love smilin
g as a way to greet each other.

 Celebrating Indonesian Independence Day,

in August 2018.
 Islamic new year festival in September 2018
 Malang Flower Carnival in September 2018
 Festival Kota Tua Malang, Jawa Timur around
27-29 September.
 School’s Anniversary in November 2018.
