Lifelong Learning Culture
• Values of the culture are internalized and influence
behavior (may not be conscious); Also, values are
reflected in social norms about the way the people
relate; Cultural norms specify what is acceptable
leadership behavior.
• Leadership behavior is influenced by the national
culture, by the organizational culture, but also, by some
non cultural determinants like type and size of
organization, managerial position etc. Cultural and non
cultural determinants are not always congruent.
• Culture with strong values for learning will support
employee empowerment.
• The values and traditions in a national culture, as well
as in the organizational culture can change over time
